This year marks the 52nd Earth Day which will fall on 22nd April. In the past year, many of us must have noticed the weather has been going to from one extreme to another, which we can take as a important sign that our earth is protesting. So now is the time that we take the action to combat environmental crisis as a whole unit.
To show that we care, what will be your effort to help tackle environmental issues? Here are some ways that we can do in our everyday life to help. Comment below if you are doing any of these at the moment.
- Reduce, reuse, and recycle. Cut down on what you throw away. Follow the three “R’s” to conserve natural resources and landfill space.
- Conserve water. The less water you use, the less runoff and wastewater that eventually end up in the ocean.
- Shop wisely. Buy less plastic and bring a reusable shopping bag.
- Don’t send chemicals into our waterways. Choose non-toxic chemicals in the home and office.
- Bike more. Drive less.
- Choose sustainable. Transitioning to products that are environmentally friendly is a great choice to lighten pressure on the environment.
- Don’t send chemicals into our waterways. Choose non-toxic chemicals in the home and office.
Always remember that no matter how small your effort is, it will turn into a huge one with everybody contributing his or her own part. And let these actions not only be something we do on this special day, but incorporate them into our daily routine throughout the year.
Just like the theme of this Earth Day: Invest In Our Planet, we need to truly do something practical to help improving the condition, only in this way can we keep thriving on this beautiful and amazing planet!
